CFOP Method - Ways To Learn CFOP Method Easily
Hi friends, how you all are. Today I am going to talk to you about how to learn CFOP method easily.
First of all, let me give you some information about the CFOP method.
The CFOP Method is also known as the Fridrich Method. It is a highly used method in rubik’s cube competitions. It has four steps namely,
CROSS
F2L(First two layers)
OLL(Orientation of the Last Layer)
PLL(Permutation of the Last Layer)
Now I will be providing you some of the tricks to use while learning the method. We’ll talk about each step separately.
CROSS: It is the first step in solving cube using CFOP Method. In this step, you have to solve the edge pieces of any one color. Usually cubers use white color and solve the cross in the bottom side.
F2L: It is the second step. In this step, you have to pair the white corners and the middle layers edge pieces and later move them to their correct location. According to wikipedia, there are 42 standard cases in F2L(it includes the case in which it is already solved).
OLL: It is the third step. It involves the manipulations of the yellow color without matching the side colors. This stage has a total of 57 algorithms.
PLL: This step involves the completion of the whole cube while preserving the orientation of the last layer. I has a total of 21 algorithms.
Now, let's talk about how to learn these steps easily.
For Cross, you need to practice it regularly. As days will pass, you will become more fast and confident in solving it.
For F2L, I want to say that it is one of the most important steps in the CFOP Method. The secret to master it is to practice it and try to solve it slowly during the initial days of learning.
For OLL, I want to say that it involves a lot of algorithms, first of all see all the algorithms. And try to understand it. You need to search whether you know all the notations or not. I will provide a video here to help you clear your doubts related to algorithms notations. You need to practice this step regularly, and with time it will be easy for you to perform this step.
For PLL, I think it is easier than the upper three steps. This step needs practice. You need to practice each algorithm everyday or whenever possible.
If you have a good cube, that doesn't pop out much, has a good corner-cutting feature, will be a better choice rather than a cube which pops out even in slow cubing. I hope this information helps you.
